FUSE Target Lists

The FUSE observation list includes GI targets from Cycles 1- 4, the PI Team targets, and ERO targets. Those targets which have not been observed as of 24 June 2003 are indicated by a blank field for the Observation Start Time. Pending Targets of Opportunity are indicated by "TOO" in the exposure time field.

Survey and Supplemental Programs were new starting in Cycle 4. Targets in these programs are different in that there is no guarantee these targets will be observed in Cycle 4. The complete list of accepted Cycle 4 Survey Program targets is posted under the sidebar menu link Prior Observing Programs. Cycle 4 Survey Program targets that have been observed as of 24 June 2003 are listed in the FUSE observation list. Program targets that were unobserved as of 24 June 2003 may or may not be observed prior to Cycle 5. Hence, all these targets are available for Cycle 5 proposers Unobserved targets for Cycle 4 Survey programs will not be considered a target duplication.

This observing list was updated for completeness (not observation status) on 24 June 2003. As of this date, the status of a few targets (~10) was still being investigated. On August 20, the target list was updated to include nine previously approved targets which are on-hold.

Further information regarding FUSE science programs is provided at the menu link to "Prior Observing Programs". At that link, target lists and abstracts are provided for each GI cycle, including the Cycle 3 observatory programs, and for the PI team program.

Targets in the FUSE observation list which are used as calibration targets are identified in a separate calibration targets list. Investigators intending to propose for observations of calibration targets should reference NRA section 1.8 for information and policies on GI observations of calibration targets.
