The accessibility of different regions of the sky with FUSE is illustrated by the following sky map. Since the installation of our modified attitude control system in February 2002, FUSE is continually improving its capability to perform observations of targets close to the celestial equator.

This sky map was generated using the FUSE target visibility tool, VIZ, with its default (optimized) parameters. This sky map illustrates the visibility for the Cycle 5 observing period. The Cycle 5 version of VIZ (the 15 July 2003 version) is now the default available on the web. Users are strongly encouraged to read the VIZ tool introduction and description prior to running VIZ to check the visibility of their particular target.

This is the official website for the FUSE Guest Investigator (GI) Program. The GI program is administered by NASA Headquarters and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
