Cycle 8 Proposals

The nominal Cycle 8 period begins ~1 April 2007 and may extend up to 18 months. The FUSE Cycle 8 proposal deadline is 15 September 2006. The Cycle 8 Program Description and Proposal Instructions release date is 14 July 2006.

Cycle 8 Notices of Intent

Prospective proposers are encouraged to submit Notices of Intent (NOIs). These Notices are utilized in determining the composition of the Telescope Allocation Committee (TAC). The deadline for submitting Cycle 8 Notices of Intent is 4 August 2006. NSPIRES will begin accepting FUSE Cycle 8 proposals ~1 week after the NOI deadline has closed. Submission of a NOI is encouraged but not required for proposal submission or acceptance.

Cycle 7 Proposals

The nominal Cycle 7 period is from 1 April 2006 through 31 March 2007. The FUSE Cycle 7 proposal deadline was 16 September 2005. The Cycle 7 Program Description and Proposal Instructions release date was 4 August 2005.

FUSE Science Conference

A conference showcasing 5 years of FUSE science results was held August 2004 in Victoria, B.C. The conference proceedings is now available.

FUSE Launch

FUSE was successfully launched aboard a Delta II rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Station at 15:44 UT on 24 June 1999.
