Notice Of Intent Information

Notice of Intent deadline: 30 August 2002

Prospective proposers are encouraged to submit Notices of Intent (NOI). These Notices are utilized in determining the composition of the Telescope Allocation Committee (TAC). The deadline for submitting a Cycle 4 NOI is 30 August 2002.

The NASA NOI web form can be accessed from http://proposals.hq.nasa.gov.

SYS-EYFUS registered users:
If you are a SYS-EYFUS registered user, the submission process is simple and straightforward.
  • click on "login" in the front page text of http://proposals.hq.nasa.gov
  • login
  • SYS - EYFUS Options Page: select "New Notice of Intent"
  • Division Specific Opportunities Page: select "OSS- Astronomy and Physics"
  • List of existing Opportunities Page: select NRA-02-OSS-03
  • Notice of Intent Webpage: complete and submit

SYS-EYFUS user registration query:
If you are uncertain if you are in the SYS-EYFUS database, you can query the system. This link is also accessed by clicking on "New user" in the front page text of http://proposals.hq.nasa.gov.

SYS-EYFUS non-registered users:
If you do not have an account, you need to register. After querying the database to verify that you do not have an account, select None Of The Above then Continue.

You are now presented with a "New User form". This is a multi-page (6) form with few (sometimes one) entries required per page.

  • Page 1: New User form - Name and email information
  • Page 2: Add Address form - Search for your institution's address then edit or select "Add ... Address" as necessary
  • Page 3: Interest Information - You are required to select at least one area of interest.
  • Page 4: Expertise Information - Appears to be required, although this is not explicitly stated.
  • Page 5: Education Information Form (Optional) - Not required
  • Page 6: Login Information - select your UserId and Password

You are now presented with a confirmation page. You are in the database and should receive an email confirmation of your UserId and password. The following steps will direct you to the "Notice of Intent Webpage".

  • SYS - EYFUS Options Page 2: select "New Notice of Intent"
